Blogging

When I first heard about blogging back in college, I just thought it was for losers with no life and nothing better to do; however, I have seen more and more people doing it in the past few years. I didn't start getting interested in it until just recently when I realized that blogs could be used for some many other things, such as: expressing and showcasing art (poems, paintings, songs, stories, etc.), sharing common thoughts/ideas/interests with people, or just to write about what goes on in someone's daily life. You see, I am an aspiring writer. I love writing (when I am interested in what I am writing about, as opposed to, you know, writing for an academic project or something); however, I just have problems getting started, gathering my thoughts, and typing them out. I think it is because I over-think things. I just need to type what I feel, like I am doing now. I also get distracted too easily, and find it hard to come back to what I was doing. Shoot, it even took me 3 days just to write this stupid paragraph. See, that wasn't so bad, right?

Anyway, I think that keeping a daily blog of my thoughts will force me to write, and I could get good practice out of it for future projects. I may actually turn some of my blogs into articles that I may submit to websites and stuff, who knows....

So...here is to the start of my journey into the writing world. I sure hope I have the will-power to keep it up (by the way, it took me 5 FREAKIN DAYS to write this post--told you I can get distracted easily...).
